FCP7 Media Management?

Hi there,

I remember during the days of FCP7 where I could take a sequence that I was working on, consolidate the media in that sequence and export those clips to another folder (even specifying the length of the handles of those clips). Is there a way to do that in FCPX or some oher tool? I found that incredibly helpful in trimming down the clips in a sequence for sending out to another facility for color correction.

I use DaVinci Resolve for this very purpose. Not possible from within FCPX.

Trimmed project consolidation can't be done with the current version of Final Cut Pro X. However there is a brand-new app from Marquis that will do the trick nicely. More details here:

Holy Shnikes. I could use this app, literally, right now.

I hope this thing works.

I've been testing the beta and so far it works as advertised.

it does. I've been using the beta almost daily and it's hard to imagine life without it. Resolve can do the same job but it's a bit like using an elephant gun on a mouse. Much better to use something lightweight and designed specifically for the task.
