iXML data does not show up on timeline

Interesting difference in FCPX 10.3. The roles metadata no longer shows up on the timeline.

This is how clips used to look in 10.2.3 after running through Sync-N-Link which included iXML metadata:

The iXML roles info would show up on both the timeline and the inspector.

Now in 10.3 the clips no longer show up with the metadata on the timeline but it does show up in the inspector:

Do you know any way to get the role metadata to show up on the timeline as well?

They are subroles.

So if your main Role is "Dialog" all the iXML data will show up under the Dialog Role, but you have to expand subroles in the index.

On the timeline, click the filmstrip with an arrow on it, and choose the "Clip Roles" box. This will add the Role name to the clips on the timeline. You can choose to turn of "Name" if you'd like.

Looks like this:

Then expand audio components (default shortcut is control-option-s) and you will see the subrole name as well as clip name.

Audio components definitely work a little differently in 10.3.
