Yep I went that route.

I couldn't get X2ProLE to work with a short 22 min FCPX project.
Foootage and audio mostly DSRL and Zoom WAV.
Needed that AAF badly so I went ahead and tested the FCPX to FCPX-XML into XtoCC route.
When I brought it into Premiere Pro CC 2015 there were a few audio clips missing.
There was no reason for them to be missing but a quick trip into FCPX then detach audio fixed it.
It had nothing to do with it not sitting in the Primary and/or Connected Clips.
Sent an OMF to the audio team and they said it opened up fine in Logic Pro.

Can anyone vouch for this workflow?
Any foreseeable hiccups?
Or did I just get lucky?

This was a late night decision and honestly woke up thinking the worse.
But received the email from audio and they said it was fine.

I've done that workflow and it seems to work OK. X2Pro has been much more reliable. I'd focus on why x2pro wasn't working first.

Also, do you have Logic Pro?

I only have X2ProLE :(

The audio guy on this project is using Logic Pro.

I use Pro Tools for my audio work.

Logic accepts FCPXML which is why I was asking. You could send an FCPXML and then make an AAF out of Logic.

What happened with X2Pro? Perhaps the same audio files that had trouble in Pr were also messing up X2Pro?

Hmm maybe a good case to purchase Logic Pro :)

Im not really sure what was causing the audio to not show up via XtoCC.

I do know that one clip was a Compound so I fixed that by breaking it up.

All is well after that :)

I purchased Logic Pro to check my X2Pro AAFs as I don't have (or want) Pro Tools.

Usually, you can find errors in the console if you want to chase down the X2Pro error. I don't have the LE version, but I use the regular version all the time and have great success with it.
