Easy to use tool for making subtitles? Plugin or Standalone?

Not sure where else to post this question, so I go for asking the FCPX users.

Is there a good affordable tool that is intuitive and effective to use for creating your own subtitles?

Ive found so many options for importing subtitles, but not for being able to create them yourself.
I have looked at SugarFXs plugin to FCPX but I think its too technical and takes too much time. Has to be a better tool out there somewhere?

Any suggestion?

This looks promising. I've been reading comments in forums. It's well reviewed.

Last time I had to do subtitles I used the free app Jubler and the subtitle import tools from Spherico. I won't say they were the easiest or simplest but the price was right and in the end were as easy to use as anything else I trialled at the time.

(For some reason I can't edit my own posts so apologies in advance for the stupid mistakes and bad English that I can't go back and fix)
