Hi FCPX Masters,
Does anyone know if its possible to access and edit separately more than one multicam clip with the angle viewer(s) within one project?
This project has 3 multicam clips which are masked / layered to create a full image. Can they be edited separately by either "pointing" the Angle Viewer at the different multicam clips, or actually have an Angle Viewer for each multicam clip.
Right now it seems as if we can only access the top multicam clip in the timeline with the angle viewer.
The project is a live music video, all the footage is in sync with the audio (with a very few B roll exceptions).
The larger goal here;
- To easily edit between different effects looks for each of 3 figures performing live.
- Each multicam clip contains about 16 angles, (4 cameras, one of which is also broken into 12 clips using effects (color correction presets, etc)
- To be able to quickly see in real time — by name or visually — which angle we are cutting to.
There will be so many edits between effects looks for each figure that the other ways of doing it we've found so far seem to present huge workflow slowdowns (compound clops have issues... right clicking on the multicam clip stops the flow of editing, stacking up the effects in the inspector for each clip leaves us with 20 unnamed effects choices, etc...
If its not possible to do this than the easiest workflow for editing in flow is the next step.
