Why does changing computers cause rerendering?

Does anyone understand why FCP X renders again when I change computers. My understanding is that my managed library contains the media, the render files, etc. When I move from computer to computer (work, laptop, home computer) using an an FCP X library on an external and all versions of OS X and FCP X are all the same, the project I am working on and already rendered starts going through a rerender process.

Only if you set it up that way. Go to your Library Properties and make sure that the Cache is set to In Library.

Yep. Had that. Have it all set to stay with the library.

Did you ever figure this out?

Haven't figured it out nor gotten a response on this that answers the question.

I have had a similar problem with cache files stored on a server. The crazy thing is, it doesn't always happen. Sometimes you open a project and everything is rendered. Other times you open it and it has to re-render everything. Other times it has to re-render some things.

The best I could figure out is that it had something to do with permissions. It was far worse on projects I restored from a backup.
