Tell FCPX which GPU to use. is it possible?
on Nov 11, 2015 at 2:25:18 pm

I have a GTX 680 and a GT120 (for my monitors only)

I was installing Color Finale and upon trying to use, it would immediately crash FCPX
I removed the GT120 And now Color Finale works like a charm.

Is there a way to tell FCPX to only use the GTX680???

In fact when it was introduced it was explicitly stated that it would not work with 2 GPUs installed. I'd assumed that's changed now with the nMP, but perhaps not with MP.

Yes, it's definitely happy with two GPUs on the new Mac Pro. Maybe it's the fact that the GPUs are mismatched in this case.

So it just defaults to the Absolute slowest GPU in the system.....

I donĀ“t think, that a dedicated GUI-Card will give you much more speed in resolve. so you could get rid of the GT 120 and be happy ...
