Mark and Steve,

I thought I was a geek, but you you just raised the bar. You are two funny geeks. Maybe it's just its a Thursday morning at 7:34 A.M and I have nothing better to do than watching you guys.

Smiley face, smiley face for your macbreak studio about the clip skimmer.

Cheers,

This was a brilliant episode. Being able to append to a secondary storyline with a keystroke has saved me a tone of time and frustration.

Thanks Ripple Training!!!

[Michael W. Towe] "Being able to append to a secondary storyline with a keystroke has saved me a tone of time and frustration."

Of course, just to be snarky, that's why other NLEs have track selections and targeting ;-)

And to snark on your snark. With other edit systems I have to pay way more attention to whats to the right of my play head when making revisions. Something that the connected storyline lets me, for the most part, forget about!

A timely topic as I am in FCP7 today making changes to a 2012 project for a client.

Snark on brother!

And a little extra tip: The clip skimmer is active when the Trim, Range and Blade tools are selected. So if you want to active the clip skimmer temporarily, hold down T (or R or B) and then release when done.
