Missing file, please!
on Oct 11, 2015 at 4:07:02 pm

I have a file which plays well on the import screen, but every time I import it form the sd card and it is in the library, it is shown as a missing file and is completely black. I really don't know how to handle this.. Hope you can help!!!

Ok, it wouldn't import correctly. Now I opened it in QT and exported to another quicktime file and now it DOES import and play in FCPX. I never had these kind of problems. I wondered what could be the case? The file was recorded in my C100 and imported to fcpx. As said it played well in the import screen from the sd card. But when imported in FCPX it blackened and so gave no image.

So after exported by QT to a new file it suddenly did get imported and gave image. But do I lose image quality after exporting it from QT?

Make sure to copy to Library in import preferences and not leave in place.
