Change default audio handle shape?
on Jul 22, 2015 at 12:27:53 pm

As the title suggests - 9 times out of 10 I want to use the linear fade to get a smooth transition between clips but haven't found a way of making it the default. Am I missing something or is this not an option?
Thanks - Martin.

Interesting question. I'm not sure how you can even tell what the default audio fade is when you apply a simple cross dissolve (picture and sound). I am guessing that because the default shape is +3db when you use the handles it must also be when you apply a transition like a dissolve

I think the difference between the four is subtle indeed and most of the time I find the default +3db audio fade works okay for me.

Larry Jordan seems to think so to in this tutorial from way back.

But of course your needs may differ.

Alex 4D has a sound only plugin which I think is what you are looking for
