For ages now I notice a little triangle appears above and below the font size in the inspector when I hover over it. It looks like it's crying out to be clicked one font size up or down per click but I have never managed to click on those triangles. They kind of disappear just as I try to.

Am I being a wally?

Click once and you can use up/down arrow keys to increase/decrease font size. Double click to enter an number. Click and hold to drag up/down to increase/decrease. The arrows light up when you drag.

Maddening that I did not figure that out but thank you so much.

I usually just click once and drag up or down if I need to make a big adjustment...

Yes much better because the slider is a bit hit and miss.

Thanks

These techniques usually work with anything that has a slider. They are good to know for that exact reason - sliders can be wonky.

And always try a modifier to see if it assists in sensitivity.

I had this feeling Bret would have something on this. The man who taught me after 10 years of hitting tttt in Legacy that only I needed to do was hit shift t. (or was it cmd t)

Thanks all.

From what I've seen, clicking and dragging on the value with option held down will give you more precise control but the modifiers do not do anything when dragging the slider
