With 10.2, does your MXF footage now rewrap to mov when you import?

It always did - I think. Have just imported a clip and its .mov as is stuff I imported months ago.

Do you mean without the plugin? I did try without the plugin but (this was with 10.1.4) it didn't see the card file structure so you ended up importing each clip manually as it were. That might have been a C300 though.

It did if you had the Sony PDZK plugin installed, but when fcpx gained MXF support, I uninstalled that and imported the MXF files choosing to "leave in place". That is no longer an option.

Thanks for confirming, I feel like this new way is back to a very redundant way of working. I can still use the MXF files by drag and drop, but now I have to teach everyone about it, and then they have to remember to do it.

I know it seems trivial, but it's a major point of contention for me. :)

If you forget to drag and drop, it doubles the media, which makes media tracking more difficult, and archiving more laborious than it already is. It's a big workflow reducer for us.
