I'm hoping someone has an idea of what's going on here! I've been working in FCPX all day!
I have a multicam clip that I'm cutting up for a documentary. All of my projects work fine except for one. I can play the video out from the bin to preview it, but as soon as I put my curser in the project and try and move things around or play from the timeline I get the spinning beachball and I have to force quit!?! I"ve done a lot of work in this project so I'd hate to start from scratch.
At first, I thought my multicam clip might be corrupt so I opened the Library and Project on another computer and it works fine! So it appears that it's not the clip but a problem with the computer?
So far I've tried:
Deleting the Plist for FCPX
Deleting all the render files
Yosemite Mac Pro
3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel
9GB 1066 DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
9 GB? I think you mean 8GB? That's kind of an older spec'ed system may not be up to the task- depending greatly on the GPU and the hard drive. I'd suggest going into proxy mode to get better performance.
