I went with the Apple pro training series When I made the switch and supplemented with lots of videos to go over specific areas. Worked well for me to get a good understanding of the diff way of thinking.

The ripple guys are great and I would look at them as a way to go!

I'd also highly recommend the Graphically Enhanced Manual for FCP X.

Also the Michael Wohl series is good:

Ripple Training is very good. Easy to follow. I tried Wohl's tutorials first. I just prefer Ripple. Easy to listen too:)

All of the above are great.

Depends on how you learn.

I actually think the MOST comprehensive way to learn X top to bottom is to do the actual Apple certification training. It's step by step and really effective. The footage used was shot by Steve Martin at Ripple and the text by Brendan Boykin is well paced and very comprehensive. Apple's Certification courses are based off this material.

Even after 2 years of using X almost daily, when I went through Certification, it taught me areas of the software I wasn't fully aware of.

FWIW.
