FINAL CUT PRO 7 RECORDING via AJA CONA
on Jan 21, 2015 at 9:25:37 am

Hello there,

I know in the world of HD, it is embarassing for me to ask a question regarding SD. However, my company is about to take a stroll down memory lane and record an award show with SD. Hence why I am here.

Is there anyone here who could tell me how many GB(gigabytes) does it take to record 1 hour worth of footage using Final Cut Pro 7 which records the feed from AJA CONA in SD?

Also 1 hour worth of footage using DVCPRO50?

I would very much appreciate your prompt response to my queries.

Thank you,

1 hour of DVCpro50 should be just over 30Gb based on the info I found here:

http://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/sales_o/broch_pdf/pro_archive_system_e.pdf

They say a 50Gb disc can hold 1 hour & 40 minutes of footage in that format.

Scroll down to "AJA Data Calc" and Calc to your storage's content.
