Broken text upon editing
on Dec 2, 2014 at 12:03:04 am

Hi all,

I'm using 10.1.3 and trying to edit a credit roll. Here's the "before" http://i.imgur.com/VhbZqaD.png

Here's what I get after attempting to edit: http://i.imgur.com/Ve1VjHI.png

I've had this and much worse (complete change of letters in addition to partial letters). None of my libraries were created in previous versions.

Any ideas? Trashing preferences didn't do anything. Thanks for the help.

What's even odder is the word "Normal" in the inspector is messed up too. Maybe that font went corrupt? Perhaps the before is rendered.

There might be several reasons.

One might be font corruption with the font you have selected.
Others might be changing settings in inspector without having any text selected in the viewer or the text field.

See see "overlayed" screen shot.

Rendered and un-rendered both yield the same results. But yes, it did appear to be a problem with the chosen font - if I make it any other font the text is properly formed, even when editing. Thanks both for the ideas!
