I shouldn't, but I always get excited about new releases.

Me but only updated one of my two primary computers.

As a result I'm now convinced there will be an FCPX update within days... because the icon does match the OS and that has to be a top priority for Apple.

Just updated tonight on my MBPro retina.

FCPX seems fine, but Yosemite seems to have broken my Kona 3. Which is to say, FCP no longer sees it, and the AV output option is greyed out. I guess it was inevitable, given that AJA considers the Kona 3 to be a "legacy" product. But I don't really need everything the Kona does anymore, as I haven't seen tape in a couple of years.

A 4K IO would be great, but who has 2 grand laying around? A T-Tap should be a perfectly fine replacement to get SDI out to the broadcast monitor (and it'll do 2K, so yay).

Anyone else?

I've had it for a while. FCP was noticeably less stable with the first releases, but has gotten back to "normal" with the most recent update for me. I'm pretty sure that there will be an explicit Yosemite update for it, too. I've also delved into the all new system "Extensions" i.e. "Actions" a tad also and can't help but think that the whole thing makes for very interesting system/interface to implement new exchange functionality... as in a type of "Send to"??! ;) We'll see.

I've been using Yosemite on my laptop during the beta with no real issues so I didn't hesitate to upgrade my Mac Pro once the full version was officially released.

So far, so good.

I spoke too soon about the Mac Pro running well. FCPX got to the point where I couldn't scrub more than a couple of seconds of timeline without it freezing and making me force quit.

I've just done a second clean install and this time it's working the way I expected. No issues at all.

I'm in the process of slowly adding hardware and software back, then doing some editing, then adding another item. So far, it's behaving itself perfectly.

All good here. I upgraded to Yosemite just yesterday but I've been editing with FCP X and Boris Continuum Complete all day long non-stop and it's been rock solid. No issues at all. Motion 5 is working fine as well. I also have DVD Studio Pro 4.1 working on Yosemite. So far it's all looking good.

So far so good. I had to reinstall the blackmagic DesktopVideo 10.2.2 before FCP X 10.1.3 would see it.

Dave, you jogged my memory with your post. I remember having to do a driver reinstall once before with an update. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled the latest Kona 3 driver. Lo and behold, everything works just fine now. Video output is back. Yay.

You're gonna love this... I was actually able to install DVD Studio Pro 4.1 on Yosemite without any workarounds. When I went to install it on my MacBook Pro with Mavericks I couldn't use the installers because while the application was universal, the installers were written for PowerPC (the lowest common denominator) and required Rosetta which was dropped with Lion or later so I had to find a Snow Leopard system to install it on and then copy the folders over to my Mavericks system. Because of this I never got around to install it on my Mac Pro. Well... after upgrading my Mac Pro to Yosemite, I decided to install DVD Studio Pro 4.1 and much to my surprise, it installed just fine! I don't know how, but Yosemite did not complain about needed a PowerPC. Very cool!!! ;-)

I did start the library/projects on Mavericks in the same version of final cut 10.1.3. Not a lot of cutting yet. Mainly loading 10 bands of multicam with 4 cameras.

I used it with existing projects and didn't have any problems continuing to edit them.
