Does FCPX do any checksumming when creating a camera archive?

Hi All,

like the subject says... I've looked but can't find an answer. Does FCPX do any error checking when you create a camera archive? Just wondering if I can get away with just using X now or if I still need Shotput Pro installed.

Cheers,
Jeff K

No it doesn't but it's also pretty reliable anyway. But you could set this up as Disk Images directly in the Disk Utility if you're concerned.

Thanks.

That's a shame - It would have been great to use one less application and I'd prefer FCP's disk archives to the folders that Shotput Pro creates but there needs to be some error checking, even if it's just a file size comparison.

I'll send some feedback to Apple and keep my fingers crossed for a future version.
