in the selected event clip, you want 'Shift+i' for in, and 'Shift+o' for out. Check out the keyboard shortcuts in the help menu. 18 months in and we still refer to it often.

Good luck!

Also if you use the up and down arrows - rather than clicking on the clip, the default is for the playhead to start at the first frame.

If you have a range selection marked in the clip, however, the arrow keys will jump to the first frame of a selection - rather than the head of the whole clip.

If you learn to use the Reject and Favorite "dashboard tags" to pre-trim the scenes you want and get rid of the crap FIRST in your event browser, then the up and down arrows are really efficient.

FWIW.

Nothing worse than hitting the home button and jumping to the beginning of the Event.

If you have a full-size keyboard as I do, I set the slash and the asterisk (multiply symbol) on the numeric keypad to Go To Range Start and Go To Range End, which is the same as Go to IN and Go To OUT. Normally, the default for those keys are IN and OUT which duplicates the function of the I and O keys so the duplication is not needed. For me anyway.
