I am editing footage shot on an SD Flipcam (I know... don't get me started)

The trouble is even though they are short clips my client has not yet woken up to streaming from Vimeo or Youtube and have a maximum file size restriction of 45MB.

I can select the compressor export setting within FCP of Small but it's bloody small. The frame size is very very small.

Anything else sends me way over their limit.

I have suggested a better way (Vimeo embed codes) but am on the verge of becoming "difficult" because "they have never had problems like that before" (with other suppliers).

FCPX does seem to create some very big files and I want to create H264 files with decent frame size within their parameters and am struggling.

And I want an annual contract from them and in future I would make sure they streamed from Vimeo but "slowly slowly catchy monkey".

Any tips gratefully accepted. Mpeg Streamclip is not helping much as i can limit data rate but that results in a small frame size.

I am not very technical so maybe that does not matter too much?

Assuming you are creating MP4s for web streaming, Handbrake prior to version 0.9.6 let you specify the target file size.
