really slow renders

system 10.7.5
2.66 quad core
MacPro 4,1
28 gigs of ram
Geforce GT120
Quadro 4000
Black Magic Decklink HD Extreme 3D
Flanders LM-2140W
Project and Event folders on internal (2 drive software raided) media drive. 4TB 3.76 available.

I was getting freezing and horrible performance. and crashing. I took out the Quadro 4000. That helped a lot. No more freezing or other crashes. But rendering a simple scrolling title credit is taking a long time.
Do I need to uninstall the driver or any thing else you can think of. Really getting frustrating.

Isn't the quadro a much better card? I'd leave that in and ditch the 120. You can't have 2 cards installed with X.

HMMM. I had read that you use the quadro for processing power and not actually hook up your monitor to it. Plus the cinema display has this mini display port that is not on the 4000. I guess when I have some time to experiment I can get an adapter and put back the 4000.

I'm no expert. Just a thought. I'd certainly only have the better card installed.
