I'm using fcpx to re-sync old vhs transcoded video with newer remastered hd audio.
The video was pulled from youtube and is pillar boxed. The codec is h.264, container mp4. Size 1.36 gb.
The new audio is 24 bit, 88.2 kHz aiff. 7 tracks total size 2.5 gb.
I imported everything and completed my project. However, I just noticed the video is stretched in the frame, and no longer pillar boxed. I can just use the transform feature, and this un-streches recreating the pillar box effect. Yet, this seems counter-intuitive from a workflow perspective.
I'm also having trouble finding the best workflow, export, or compressor settings to get my project down to a burnable file size. I need a container that will maintain the integrity of my audio and get back as close as possible to the original video file size. I would like it to be a single file container if possible.
