DNXHD in FCPX. Ouch.

Working with some footage that was out of an Avid. UGH. Playback always stops and stutters in that section. We thought that transcoding to high quality prores within X would fix it, but no, that sucks too. We've found that it's better to export the clip as prores and then bring it back in vs letting X handle it at all.

Anybody else noticed this?

I noted the same thing... It's an issue in my world as all the EVS are set to DNx these days... (They were prores for fcp7, so I suppose they might return if FCPx gains traction ... Uphill battle though)... Roll on AVC-intra (maybe)

I've had good results using quicktime references from .mxf DNxHD files, but that was many months ago, before mxf support. Haven't tried recently
