DNxHD export
on Aug 7, 2014 at 9:16:00 pm

For the life of me, no matter my hard drive setup or my source footage (RED + RED Rocket, DSLR 1080, etc etc) I cannot push past 15fps on any format when exporting DNxHD.

I add the export plugin as a branch off the main output - from what I've seen this is the correct way to do it.

Intel i7 2600k overclocked to a stable 3.8gHz, 32gb of RAM, Scratch 6 (not at my main station, don't know the subversion).

Hi Angelo,
Several factors can impact DNxHD MXF exports so there are a few things to check:
1/ Can you playback your construct in real time ?
2/ What is the construct resolution (no need for a 4K construct is export is 1080)
3/ Keep in mind the AMT used for MXF exports is CPU based. Your system looks ok but no info wrt the GPU used. Also Scratch v6 antique compared to teh current v8.1
4/ To optimize: Pull and write from/to different volumes and ensure the Output node filter is set to Linear.

Hope this helps,
