Copy Burn-In to all clips
on Jul 29, 2014 at 8:04:36 pm

Hi,

Testing Scratch 8 with intentions of using it for Dailies. Can anyone tell me how to copy a Burn-In to ALL clips in the timeline? I copied my grade forward - but that didn't put the burn-in on the clips. In paste-forward all the items were selected....what am i missing?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Andrew,

please go to the outputs-menu, select your main output-node,
and enter the player with that one.
The main output-node kind of represents your complete CONstruct / Timeline so to speak.
So when entering the Player with the output-node, and then adding the plugin
to it, you are in fact adding it to the complete timeline, which is much more elegant,
than copying the plugin to each and every shot ;-) .

When entering the Matrix with the Output, make sure to be on the shot menu, before clicking the insert button. Then insert the plugin, do your stuff (btw. you can save a template of your burn-in on
the lower left corner of the screen). Then exit back into the output-menu.
You will see, that the burn-in plugin is added downstream, just behind the main output-node.
Now every output attached behind the burn-in node, will get the burn-in.

Hope, this helps!
