Construct: Failed to write frame 0

I keep getting the error message 'Construct: Failed to write frame 0' when I try to output my footage using a DNxHD36 codec but if I output the same footage using a QT H264 I have no issues. I'm using Scratch 6.1

Can anyone explain why this is?

Kind regards

Hi Rob,

most likely you have the #ext token in your output-filname specification included.
This doesn't work, when exporting Avid MXF.
To explain it in a simple way: The #ext token includes the file-extension
in the output-filname - so if you are exporting a Quicktime,
it will include a "mov" in your filename.
Now with the MXF-renderer - it not only renders MXF-files,
but aaf-files, as well.
So if you have the #ext token included, Scratch simply doesn't know,
which ext to render - aaf or mxf ;-) .
So simply delete the #ext out of your outputfilname-specification
and try again^^.

.. and I would have responded much earlier, if this crappy forum
would only have a normal, or at least reasonable thread-display...
