Fun quote from the article "The last Final Cut Pro X update happened at the beginning of 2016 in February, which is basically eons in software update terms. We’ll be sure to let you know if and when version 10.3 goes live."

We used to get updates every 18-24 months and now 9 months is "eons". Different world for software these days.

If you want 4D titles, you'll want to wait for Magic Leap:

I'm hoping for a elegant interface, skimmer, effect previews, no tracks, a title tool that was invented this century...wait, that's for Premiere. My mistake!

Nothing to see here folks....move along.

I'm starting to sweat. Its now over a month since the last major Resolve update. But they have just released a huge upgrade to the Ursa Mini.

Yes, indeed.

What does BMD think it's playing at?

It's clear that they have lost interest in supporting the professional community.

I believe that update just takes the 4.0 firmware from beta to release. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a Resolve update soon.

[Shawn Miller]"I believe that update just takes the 4.0 firmware from beta to release."

Typically Blackmagic there are quite a few extra goodies. I have the latest beta but it doesn't include half of the 4.0 release. Changes to compressed raw aspect options, improved focus assist in the viewfinder, more guides options including 14:9.

I'll have to go through it then. I installed the update earlier, but I haven't had a chance to look through the new options. It's a bit confusing because some features listed as new in the documentation were there in version 4.0b. I'm sure there are some great new features... now, if they could just get on DNxHR recording. ?

Yeah Magic Leap is pretty damn impressive and it looks useful. Plus the team they have and are assembling is top notch. As a tool for learning there seems to be no boundaries. Blows me away.
