Article about the effort of crazed fanatics to recreate an HD version of the original release of Star Wars. I don't know what the copyright situation is, a good guess is that it's totally illegal, but I recommend watching the video at the end of the article showing how the restoration was done.

They despecialized all of them.

BUT THEY AREN'T THE ONLY ONES! Another group found a decent 35mm print of Star Wars, from 1977, and restored it too. Still has the original film grain, something the Despecialized editions removed.
