Another Bentley promo shot with iPhones... Anyone know who cut it, and with what NLE? Not that it matters of course...

And the BTS piece...

If I was the DOP on a shoot with lots of movement, I think I would prefer a camera with a global shutter to avoid jello rolling shutter. At least they used movi.

I guess it comes down to integrated marketing. Otherwise why mention the camera? It is interesting that there was no mention of post workflow.

Where did you see the jelly stuff? I got busy and only had time to watch about half. Are there rolling shutter artifacts in the second half?

Bill, there is a car drive POV shot in the behind the scenes vid with jello. I don't think it made it into the final.

They did mention using iPads to edit. Can you pass an iMovie project to FCPX or others?

Not sure about other editors (software) but you can import an iMovie into FCP X, this might require your media to be optimized which X will do automatically for you, if necessary. Should be a fairly easy process.

Guessing this was edited with iMovie, pity there was no 3D text involved. While the image quality is sufficient a Bolex H16 camera would have been my choice.

[David Mathis] "pity there was no 3D text involved."

lol... oddly enough, a tiny thing I unnecessarily did with 3D text should soon be visible in millions of households across the US next week...

or this...

I doubt this was cut in iMovie. Listen to the careful wording. Something to the effect of "the cut was assembled on the iPads". My guess is a first pass or selects was done there and then actual final edit on something else.

Adobe Premiere Clip for iOS projects can be sent to Premiere Pro, just sayin. I have no knowledge of what was actually used.

You can bet it wasn't cut in iMovie.

Ya know? Content is king, and iPhones are good enough to get across great content any day... There's been a flop or two shot with Panavision cameras... LOL...
