Word went out this morning that Apple (in conjunction with FCPWorks) will do official State of FCP X presentations during NAB on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am in their suite in the Renaissance hotel, directly adjacent to the convention centers South Hall.

Registration is open for these sessions as of today on the FCPWorks site.

I think my GA ticket gets me in for this but it's not clear.

Sam Mestman posted on a few Facebook groups that "registration" for the Apple Presentation is now open. Causing me to believe it's a separate sign up from the FCPWorks sessions. I suspect the meeting rooms at the Rennaissance are not huge - so if you want to attend the Apple presentations, I'd sign up ASAP.

I signed up weeks ago along with partner.
We even clicked on all the options to attend.
There is no way of knowing if we did on any emails sent back to us.
We must have accidentally signed up three times for the GA and still no word if we go approved for all the sessions.
Ive sent emails to a few options to FCPWorks and to date no replies.

Hi Eric-sorry you had some issues. I see you were put in contact with the session tech support folks this morning. If you try going to http://fcpworksnabpresentationsuite2015.sched.org/login and signing in again the issue should be resolved. Please let me know if you have any further trouble.

Thanks Noah according to support were all good :)
Back in 2012 I signed up for RED Training and was honestly one of the first.
Then some goofy thing happened and I was told I didnt even sign up.
Jarred Land caught wind of this and gave up his seat for me :)
Nice to have that kind of support in this community.

I did my best. According to Eventbrite I have a GA ticket and then on FCPWorks NAB Presentation site there is a check mark next to the session I want to attend. So we'll see if I get in.

And based on the overwhelming response to this thread I am guessing they will not miss me if I do not show up.

Tim,
I'm a bit confused by your posts.
The FCPWorks event is NOT a part of NAB per se. So there's no actual "ticket" or "admission" involved. Like most events in a hotel ballroom type setting, they asked people to register so they have an idea of how many people they need to accommodate. That registration is being handled by EventBrite, one of the biggest event attendance management systems on the web. We use EB for charity fundraisers back in Arizona all the time. It just lets you print out a list of attendees so you know who's coming and have enough capacity for the size of the crowd that's likely to show up. If you're having problems with the EventBrite system, seems to me Noah has been trying to help you out, but the registration engine it's not a thing that FCPWorks or Apple controls. It's a large commercial system that manages events of all sizes globally. So I"m not sure how "GA" (presuming general admission?) plays into this. You're in the system for the event or not. You're on the tally list for Session A, or B, or whatever, or not.
Not much else to figure out.
I help run the front end of the Supermeets every year and even when we're technically oversold, we still try to accommodate everyone if we can. At least until the fire marshall comes by and yells at us.
And that's a PAID ticket. This is free, after all.

Hey Tim- please come and if you have any issues just ask for me at the reception at the front of our suite. And do be sure to show up a bit early on that one.

There was technical issues with the site and support was very helpful.
I accidentally signed up three times (same for my partner) and hopefully that doesnt cause an issue with others.
I am sure you guys caught that when you do your list :)
