Maybe he should get hired at Fox News, where they mis-spell "Republican" as "Democrat" a lot. ;-)

Back in the day, when I was a junior editor, the senior editor was making some concert promos for the state fair. The band in the promo was Hall & Oates. He Chyron'd it ( and I verb that brand name specifically) as "Haulin' Oats". He was mostly into country music. Also, he just barely had a GED.

We didn't have the gear to fix it on the one-inch masters, so had to take it to a bigger shop and have them paint it out of the A/B-rolled composite using an early Quantel paintbox, at considerable expense.

I got to do the promos for the years following. It was like the Second Coming when CG's and NLE's began to come with spell checkers.

It doesn't matter... I see typos often enough to say "all the time" on network affiliates here in LA. Spell check gets the word right, but if it's the wrong word... ;-)

Cautionary tale here:

Don't misspell the exec producer's name in the credits! Not a good career move!
