Hi Michael!

Saw it earlier and smiled. I think there's a discription of the guys process posted somewhere. It was truly 1guy alone taping his iPhone to mounts like the wheelchair "visibility poles" and setting them on the moving sidewalks - then running into position for the take with sync music playback off his iPad

Creativity unleashed to be sure.

BTW, "break a leg" at the LA group for the Article Whiteness gig. Great software and I know you'll do a great job.

Wish I could be there,

Thanks, Bill! Having been stuck at McCarran late at night, I've seen how how deserted it can get. I enjoyed the escalator shot the most.

I'm frankly shocked that he wasn't stopped and harassed by airport security.

[Alan Okey] "I'm frankly shocked that he wasn't stopped and harassed by airport security."

I loved it, but I'm with you on this one. They are usually all over you in a place like this when you break out a camera. He was all up on that checkin counter.

They have security cameras everywhere. I can only figure he did it 3 or 4 in the morning and somebody was asleep at the gaurd shack : )

the phone is pretty small......

as far as security knew, he was lip-syncing to a wheel chair -

and he was already past the security check point....not much of a threat

[Andy Field] "as far as security knew, he was lip-syncing to a wheel chair - "

hahaha that looks even more crazy and suspicious on a security monitor if you don't know he's making a video.

Camera or not, he climbed on top of the counter and was laying up there. They don't want you doing that kind of stuff hahaha

I figured on at least some of the shots he had to move stuff around, like a sign to mont that camera to it to get certain shots. He didn't have a tripod.

Look at it again, figure where the camera would have to be to get the shot and how it's there.

Nobody said anything to him when he was doing all that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they didn't. We wouldn't have the great video : )

Just say'n : )

look at his comments on Vimeo - just used the chair (with the visibility pole where he could secure the phone up high) and his computer bag handle...... creative thinking

Ok, so he pushed an empty wheelchair onto the escalator to get that shot. Hummmmm not at all out of the ordinary.

If any one of these actions doesn't draw attention somebody's sleep on the job.

I can draw attention just walking down the hall minding my own biz, let alone trying any of these moves,

But I digress

Actually I feel that it's an important topic and bit off topic for the X or not debate forum, but ... http://www.isr.umich.edu/home/diversity/resources/white-privilege.pdf

It's a good read Richard, and you're a thoughtful brother for posting it.

I won't speak farther on the topic here, accept to say, as I speak to the younger generation,
I'm impressed by their maturity and depth on topics like these and I feel good about the future.

We can now add number 27: I can make a music video to which I do not have a copyright license, in a public, empty airport, and no one will bother me.

I was thinking about number 9, also, because the music fits the LV Airport.

And now, I will also post another important article. http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1465114

The Hidden History of the Second Amendment
Abstract:
Professor Bogus argues that there is strong reason to believe that, in significant part, James Madison drafted the Second Amendment to assure his constituents in Virginia, and the South generally, that Congress could not use its newly-acquired powers to indirectly undermine the slave system by disarming the militia, on which the South relied for slave control. His argument is based on a multiplicity of the historical evidence, including debates between James Madison and George Mason and Patrick Henry at the Constitutional Ratifying Convention in Richmond, Virginia in June 1788; the record from the First Congress; and the antecedent of the American right to bear arms provision in the English Declaration of Rights of 1688.

Sorry for any digression.
