Here's a random story about a random major Mexican broadcaster switching to FCPX:

The story is irrelevant, who cares anyway?... But click the last photo in the Gallery and have a look at the black cylinder under the editor's desk. Could the Tube already be in use with FCPX in some selected post shops and TV stations? If it's a trash can it certainly is at the wrong side of the desk (-:

It's a trash can

There's nothing we can't argue about on the FCPX COW Forum

Who puts their trash can that far under/behind their desk? And why would it have wires?

Subwoofer? Honestly, it looks too big to be a tube but who knows...

I could definitely see it being a subwoofer

Old Skool Mac Pro on the right side of the image. You can see it's two cute little DVDs peeking through.

Looks like a sub woofer to me as well. Odd placement for a trash bin. Just will have to wait a few more weeks for the new Pro Tube :-)

Yep, probably a subwoofer. Or they just put the trash can there to hide the cables for the photo (-: Ah well, only a few weeks to go for the Tube and I had heard some studios already had a chance to test one, so it could have been possible... On with the work now.

Interesting how they're designing their buildings to look like FCPX timeline.

Pretty draughty to my eye or they giant external DVD slots to make up for the lack of optical drive in new Mac Pro.

Here's a different angle.

Why does everyone insist on putting video edit screens up on a shelf? It's very unergonomic and uncomfortable. Should be on the desk usually around a 15degree downward viewing angle. Even more so with the huge screens these days.
