Anyone have a link at time for the Apple announcement? Will it be a webcast?

I'm not a betting man but . . . .

New mac pro announcement 80% likelyhood

Mac pro for sale Mid November - 75%

FCPX upgrade 20%

Mavericks released within the week 90%

I think that's the smart bet.

That way if things happen sooner it will be a nice surprise.

FCP upgrade not of interest to enough people to discuss unless they throw it on screen for 5 seconds as part of a a Mac Pro demo. But it will be quietly updated later in the day or in a few days.

Final Cut Pro Dos Equis released.

It has abandoned tracks, before abandoning tracks was cool.

Stay optimistic my friends.

[Jeremy Garchow] "It has abandoned tracks, before abandoning tracks was cool.

Is it available in the App Store as of yet? I am now both optimistic and thirsty.

Just got an e-mail from Color Grading Central saying the LUT utility is now available. Exciting times ahead.

Watched the video but so no mention of 10.1, perhaps I missed something?

[David Mathis] "Watched the video but so no mention of 10.1, perhaps I missed something?"

Coming in December along with the new MacPro.

From MacPro website:

"Final Cut Pro X. Now optimized for Mac Pro.
The new version of Final Cut Pro X (coming in December) has been engineered to take advantage of the 4K capabilities of the Mac Pro. The dual workstation-class GPUs in Mac Pro accelerate effects, optical flow analysis, video export — and virtually everything else you do in Final Cut Pro. Ultrafast PCIe-based flash storage means fast project loading and multi-stream 4K playback. And Final Cut Pro X has been so perfectly tuned to take advantage of the new Mac Pro, you can work in 4K — in real time — without rendering. (Take a minute to let that slowly sink in.)"

The Apple event live stream works on Safari, but not Chrome. Imagine that.

Yes, but will work only on Safari, nothing else. Go figure.

*Edit*

Apple is currently updating the online store. Hopefully it should be available later today. At last check the App Store is still up and running. Not seeing anything new there as of yet.
