I think namining the cloud is just a diversion because:

1. the app is on your computer taking gb of space.

2. All the editing elements are on your computer.

3' You edit on your computer.

4. Unless you use the cloud storage provied (voluntary) its on your computer.

The only things internet about this is downloading the app and checking in with your landlord every month.

So no you are not on the cloud unless you realy belive it, you are actually giving up computerspace and acces and actually paying for it.

I think calling it cloud is a way to cover up the sham of having an to pay an overloard over your creative process.

Richard

How sweet to be a Cloud

Floating in the Blue!

Every little cloud

Always sings aloud.

"How sweet to be a Cloud

Floating in the Blue!"

It makes him very proud

To be a little cloud.

You are 100% correct. This is just a repackaging to cover up a price increase. It cost $1400 for the first year in Australia. ADOBE Minion Shantanu Narayen refused to answer questions about how the company can justify charging Australians up to $1,400

The price of CC in Australia is A$ 49.99 and A$ 29.99 if you are upgrading from CS.
In US$ that's 610/359 per year so it's pretty much the same price.

I am in Europe, the regular price here is the equivalent of 81 USD and nobody cries because everything here is more expensive compared to US offerings.

I can see, bring forward and accept a lot of reasoning against subscription based software (would prefer "own" myself for other reasons but if the software is what I want and need, I really have better things to do than go ape about it - ie I use it to the benefit of my business); price is certainly not one of them.
Seriously, it's ridiculous to moan about a 29 dollars per month charge for software that is the core of your business.
Most people spend more on "subscription based" internet porn every month.

"The Cloud" is the new "Cyberspace" of the 1990s or "Web 2.0" of the 2000s. Don't you know if you attach the buzzword of the day to any product it immediately becomes cool and cutting-edge?
