Can any former PPro users weigh in with their favourite FCPX training, paid or otherwise?
Ideally looking for videos that are iPad compatible

I'm in the same boat. I recently got both Steve Martin's "Ripple Training" and Larry Jordan's Complete Training. Both were very helpful (and downloadable to iTunes). I think, between the two, Steve's was a bit more comprehensive, especially since it comes with training files to edit along with. And it's a lot cheaper than Larry Jordan's.

Linda.com was the best for me, really helped me get into it and I have been using it on paying jobs for over a year now.

You can subscribe to whole Larry Jordan's library including tons of additional content like recorded webinars. It's $20 per month.

Michael Wohls series was very comprehensive for me, coming from FCP legacy. I actually purchased his videos, Ripples and Larry Jordan's. I'd rate them as a Wohl first, Ripple second and Larry a very very distant third.

I'd totally agree with Sandeep.

Michael Wohl has a quick brain, doesn't repeat himself ( he understands that you can watch things more than once)

The Macprovideo player goes onto an iphone or iPad as well as the desktop.

If you don't want to spend any money at Izzy video has done a complete basic course -

And again a huge free resource (Steve Martin and Mark Spencer)

And there is a lot of stuff in the Cow training archive

Ripple Training iPad app worth investing $1.99:

Thanks, yes have that
Will probably go with Michael Wohl's series. I like his delivery and sense of humour.

Wow !! That's an unbelievable deal. $1.99 for 2 hours of instruction in a total of about a half GB download (and Apple takes 30%). I don't understand the pricing for that being in the music video instruction business and also selling video instruction, but more power to them if they can make money off that. Maybe the thinking is that this instruction is for 10.0.6 and that making something is better than nothing since their main product now is 10.0.8. Still, an incredible deal for the customer.

I agree, Ripple training is great. Also Wohls Mac Pro Video FCPX Tutorials iPad app, even just the free overview and quick start guide is pretty good for starters-
