FCPX at NAB

So I was watching the Imagineer Systems Mocha Pro VFX Webinar tonight and someone asked this question:

Q: Will you show anything new tasty, awesome, wonderful at NAB in a few weeks?
A: Yes. Especially if you use FCPX!

I hope it's built into FCPX somehow and not just a Mocha Shape type thing.

Sandeep.

I'm starting to get the feeling there's going to be a lot of great announcements from both Apple and 3rd parties about FCPX in a few weeks.

Aww, jeez. Don't jinx it. I expect nothing. And hope to be wrong.

Dammit! Sorry.

Apple is going to probably announce that they're abandoning pro software, the mac, and make a special point of saying they hate video editors with the heat of a thousand suns.

Of course soccer moms always use $1500 apps to track soccer balls.
No self respecting professional would ever use Mocha Pro. it's a kid's toy or it will be once they support FCPX.

I saw it as well.
I'm thinking it's going to be supporting tracking data into FCPX. Just a guess.

[Jeremy Garchow] "Mocha does tracking???"

No, no, no, you add it to your Coffee while editing. It's supposed to keep FCPX editors from falling asleep while they stare at that trackless timeline.

So, when do I use Blender?

[Jeremy Garchow] "So, when do I use Blender?"

That's used to integrate a 3D Editor Character with FCPX because living humans won't be showing X at NAB.

I hear Blender may include 3D character models of the 7 people on the COW who acknowledge using FCPX in public.

Are we up to 7 now?

As long as Aindreas doesn't have access to small arms. ;)

If Aindreas has small arms, he can always enlarge them using Blender - it will make editing with FCPX a lot easier.

I'd like it to be integrated the way it is in Silhouette...part of the app. Ideally every editing tool should just license their planar tracker SDK, it's that good.

Pricing will be interesting too.
