Now THIS is a jaw-dropping game changer... Self-driving cars are now being tested in Nevada.

Demolition Man is becoming reality. Crazy.

I just hope they don't bring the "three seashells" to market next- that's one paradigm shift I don't want to make... ;)

[Greg Andonian] "Demolition Man is becoming reality."

I hope we also get the Securefoam on impact when the car kernel panics!

Best,
Andy

Wow! You can cut the news story on the crash as you're going over the cliff! Cool!

Looks like the article was just updated:

"Google is also testing out an enhanced feature for BMW owners. For just $72,000 per year, drivers can purchase the Premiere/Luxury/Megalomania package. The premiere tier is much like the regular service, although more tailored to the driving style BMW drivers are accustomed to. The car comes without signals, is programmed to follow the car ahead by a distance of 5 inches vs 3 car lengths, has a programmed 'random lane change' feature, provide random honks at other google cars, and will operate at two speeds: floor it, and slam on the brakes."
