I opened activity monitor and it looks like the new Compressor isn't 64-bit. Just the same program I already owned that is FCPX compatible. Can anyone confirm this?

Given that it doesn't do any conversions or rendering, maybe it doesn't need to be a 64-bit app.

Here's the real question:

Is it still exceptionally laggy in the UI when doing large batches? I find the FCS3 version unusable if I want to encode more than 8-10 files. It's very slow to apply the settings to the batch, if it loads them into the batch window at all.

I'll try to check it tomorrow. But really it looks like I bought the exact same program that I already had!

[Stepan Grasvenoff] "Is it still exceptionally laggy in the UI when doing large batches?"

I'll second Stepan's question. This is by far the biggest complaint I have about Compressor, an app I really like in other ways.

The Qmaster processes that do the encoding are 64 bit though. Compressor.app just submits the jobs to the qmaster processes, even if the UIs have been consolidated.
