Compressor fails with Quick time Error -50
on Nov 14, 2011 at 5:22:19 pm

Hi guys:

I have one particular Final Cut Pro X file that I cannot get compressor to process for Vimeo.

I have two files about the same kind. One outputs in about two minutes perfectly while the other one takes about 2 hours and fails with 10% to go.

The only clue it gives me is this error message. Failed: Quick Time Error: -50

Is there a way to look this up and find out what happened?

Is there a way for Final Cut Pro to check the file to make sure it is not corrupt? It plays nicely in FCPX.

I think Compressor is installed fine because other files export nicely.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro, Lion 10.7.2, all sortware is upgraded. 8 gb ram quad core processor. Stable system

I'm not sure these error codes are relevant

Why not just export to ProRes and bring that file in to Compressor? I've never been a fan of Send to Compressor feature as it's had a history of bugs and challenges.
