It's a video text search program for FCP 6/7, and eventually X.

It looks like Boris Soundbite is powered by Nexidia -- which used to power Get, before Get got gone.

Ah, Get! I remember reading about get, and thinking I'd like to get Get, but then, as you say, Get was gone.
Did you try it at all?

Nexedia technology also powers Avid PhraseFind, and long before that, ScriptSync. So while I never used Get, I used the two Avid implementations, and I swear it looks like the darkest of magics. You will be amazed, and just a little frightened.

Having worked for Boris for several years, I can say that a combination of amazement and a little fear is just about right. :-)

Kidding, Boris!

But definitely worth downloading the trial version.

Well, now. That's interesting. Maybe after this project, I'll download the trial PhraseFind and give it a try. Then, when available, I'll give Boris a shot. I'm not quite sure which platform I'd want it to be on. Avid, I think.

PhraseFind is absolutely the best. It really does change the way you cut.

Does anyone know if this works in reverse?

Send an XML or qt or something and then print a transcript of the final video?

Saw this demoed by Steve Kanter at LAFCPUG the other night and was blown away. Really very cool stuff that I could see being an incredible tool for the non-fiction editor...

Too bad I didn't win the raffle with a copy!
