Proper write-up to follow, but continuing Blackmagic Design's recent traditon of not waiting to get to Las Vegas to start making news, here's Grant Petty's first product kick-off video of the year, covering:

URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2– a second generation URSA Mini Pro camera featuring fully redesigned electronics and a new Super 35mm 4.6K image sensor with 15 stops of dynamic range that combine to support high frame rate shooting at up to 300 frames per second. In addition, URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 supports Blackmagic RAW and features a new USB-C expansion port for direct recording to external disks.

Blackmagic Camera 6.2 adds support for Blackmagic RAW to the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, as well as constant bitrate 3:1, 5:1, 8:1, 12:1 recording for Blackmagic RAW, constant quality Q0 and Q5 recording for Blackmagic RAW, support for double tap on touchscreen zoom and changed tap to focus behavior to tap and hold to focus.

DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder– an all new PCIe capture card featuring 4 independent HDMI 2.0b input connections for simultaneously capturing any combination of SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K DCI and even computer video formats.

DeckLink 8K Pro update– Desktop Video 11.0 update, which allows its four 12G-SDI connections to be used for the independent capture and playback of 4 separate video streams. For customers working on high end feature films, this update for DeckLink 8K Pro also adds support for HDR metadata packing via SMPTE ST2108-1 and both HLG and PQ transfer characteristics via SMPTE ST2082-10.

Duplicator 4K update– Blackmagic Duplicator 4K 1.2 update adds new long form recording features to Blackmagic Duplicator 4K so it can record non-stop for over 2 months with a single set of SD cards. Blackmagic Duplicator 4K is a real time recorder that can record onto 25 SD cards in either H.264 or H.265 in SD, HD or Ultra HD up to 2160p60. Previously Blackmagic Duplicator could be used to record to all 25 SD cards at the same time from any 12G-SDI video source. However, now Blackmagic Duplicator 4K can be used for non-stop long form recording over several months.
