Dslr Lens Bad quality???
on Jul 21, 2015 at 3:24:40 pm

I have a cannon 60d, with a Sigma 30mm lens.
I have seen videos with the same equipment as me, with really good video quality.
Forexample:

- They have the settings at 60 Fps to make slow motion.

So with my camera and lens i set the setting to:
FPS: 60 - 720/1080.
ISO: 200.
Shutterspeed: 1/120.
Aperture: 5.

And my results were really bad. Not at all close to what you see in the video above. My quality was really bad, and i got a lot of grain. I have tried this lens and settings on other cameras, so i'm thinking maybe it's something with the lens?
I have also tried the settings with 24 FPS, which is a little better, but still not as good as it should be.
What could possible be wrong?
Thanks in advance :)

Shutter should always be 1/50 for 178 degree shutter angle if you are shooting video and FPS 23.976. Same for FPS: 60. Adjust exposure with the aperture and lighting.

Can you post example footage? We can help you better if we can see what some of the problems are.

Hi,
Lens has nothing to do with noise/grain in the image.
The probable explanation is that you are not exposing properly.
