Suggestions for File Recovery? Formatted SD Card, Mac OS10.8

Hey guys. I'm not sure this is the right forum, but it's an audio file, so here I am.

I was recording an interview on an H4N. Then later in the day I had to run out and rent one of those Tascam 4 channel digital field recorder things. While I was setting it up, for some reason I thought I'd use the card from the H4N. Well, I formatted it but then remembered I hadn't downloaded the file from earlier in the day yet.

Can anybody suggest a file recovery program for use on the Mac? There're a million of them out there, but I'd love if somebody could tell me their favorite. I checked in with our IT dept, but I don't think anybody wants to touch this one.

Thanks in advance for any help!

First off, don't record on that SD card. I've not had to recover files, but I kept a note about a recovery program in case I do. If that doesn't work contact Gillware in Madison, WI. I believe there's no charge unless they recover the data. Good luck.

Don't you worry because you can definitely recover and restore your files from formatted SD card on Mac. I am very glad to share my personal experience with you, that few month ago I have encountered same situation and then I tried Memory Card Recovery Software. You don't believe that, it recover and restore my entire data which has become inaccessible due to my mistake. It not only retrieved my audio files but it also bring back my important pictures, video and other precious data. You should definitely try this as soon as possible. Thanks for your information. It's still very important for anyone who has a corrupt card (or drive) not to write to the device as that might overwrite some data.

I used Amrev Photo Recovery and it will show you how to recover the photos on mac in details. You can try the free trail first to see whether it suits your systems. As for me, it is very easy for me to use. Hope the software can rescue you from this problem too
