Removing audio from an HDSDI feed (not disembedding - removing)

Is there any inline disembedder that physically removes the audio from an SDI feed, replacing it with silence? I can find loads that will give me the audio on AES or analogue, but I don't want to listen to the audio, I want to strip it. The reason is because some capture cards don't give the option to not listen to embedded audio, and I don't control what's further up the chain to avoid the audio being embedded in the first place.
I wondered if an audio embedder might work, embedding silence, but it seems a pretty stupid workaround. Surely there is a product intended for this purpose?

It is very unlikely that an audio "stripper" exists. Because it is easy enough for most people to just kill or ignore the embedded audio tracks. As you say, you best bet is likely to just get an audio encoder like the Blackmagicdesign "Mini Converter Audio to SDI". I think I could find a way to scuttle the audio tracks before I would hand over $500 for this "solution", though.
