Guys and Gals
I need some help here, and Creative Cow has alaways been good for that.
So I'm back again. I just pulled my 302 out of the box and Ive gone through the user manual but Im still finding it difficult to set up my rode ntg 2 to monitor sound. I cant hear anything from any of the three xlr inputs. The led lights are not responding to any sound and the 'out attn' lights are on...I have gone over the manual but it just makes me more confused. Im guessing I should reset the machine to defaults and start over but Im not sure...Can anyone provide step by step on this process

Do you have phantom power turned on? Are the inputs set to mic level?

Hi Eric
Thanks for replying
Yep, phantom set, and mic level also
Now I am not feeding out of the mixer to anything
I dont have a camera or a recorder connected
so the signal is not going anywhere
I just want to plug in my mic and listen and watch the feedback is all?

I hate being obvious, but did you put batteries in the SD 302? Is the mic cable good? Is the mic cable plugged into the mic and the 302 all the way? Are your headphones working?

Go through the complete troubleshoot checklist. 98% of the time the issue is human error - I've been guilty myself more times than I care to admit.

Peace,

Bob

Thanks for replying Bob,
I sorted it.
I had it set to 12volt on the input side
It should have been set to 48
(volts I mean, not phantom power; i already had the mic set to phantom)
Thanks again
Neil
