I've been using a Marantz to record the soundtrack for a film I am shooting and syncing it to video from a Canon EOS 550D. Most of the footage is fine, however on one of the shoots there appears to be siome major problems with the sound.
Firstly, it seems to run slightly faster than the video (reducing the speed to about 92% seems to get them roughly back in time again, but severely effects the pitch). Also, there is a constant crackling over any sound above about -30 dB.
The sound was definitely not peaking on the day. The settings were to record mono 24bit WAV at 48Khz.
The same settings were used for all my other shoots, with no problems. Does anyone know why this might have happened or how I might be able to fix this?
