xlr mic interface for computer

Hi all,

I make a show which i voice over in final cut pro, and am trying to find a simple interface so i can connect and xlr mic via firewire/usb2 to get my v/o in.

Quality at this point is less of a concern than my extremely limited cash. I feel like i've seen these boxes around but for the life of me cant remember what/where/when/how much etc.

Thanks for any suggestions everyone.

Does you Mac have an audio in jack?

If not, try the Rode Podcaster.

M-Audio makes a couple of good USB XLR units. I have used the mix-pre with various software and it is very good.
