Encore CS6 is Crashing with Premiere Pro CC
on Aug 22, 2017 at 11:40:06 am

Hi, I'm using PPCC with Encore CS6 and is crashing when I setup to burn either Blu-Ray or DVD.
I heard from Adobe that there is no more updates for this software. Does anyone have a compatible solution for this?
Maybe another program that works with CC? Thanks!

[Mike Slawin] "using PPCC with Encore CS6"

Not sure how you are attempting this, as there is no availability of dynamic link between Encore CS6 in any version of Premiere Pro above CS6.

Here's a good explanation of the process -

Hi Steve,
Yes I am doing it accordingly to the link you sent me. I go to media encoder setup my video encode to a drive then close down PPCC and go to the Encore program. Is there a later version like CC available for Encore?
When I was with PPCS6 it worked like a charm, now I am having all sorts of error windows and crashing going on.

Thanks!!

Sorry, you are stuck with Encore CS6. It still works fine with exported, self-contained files from CC, but you don't have Dynamic Link.

My first attempt at a solution would be to uninstall and reinstall Encore. Also, if you have some older MPEG2-DVD files to try importing, might try that to see if you can isolate the issue to Encore. If the older files import without issue, it may be a factor of the current project's encodes somehow causing the problem.

You could also try exporting from Adobe Media Encoder rather than from Premiere, or even encoding an AVI to see if that will import into Encore.

Well I did just that. just reinstalled the software, working great! Thanks.
One question, I did upload the 2nd DVD for the Encore content for the Library but all files aren't showing up.
How do I access the rest of the files. Thanks again!!!!!!

You cannot import the Premiere CC sequence into Encore cs6. (there is no Encore CC)
You need to export as mpeg2 dvd files from Premiere and import those files (video and audio) into Encore.

The tutorial is not accurate it shows export settings of a H.264 file.

Hadn't even noticed, because up until that one pic everything is geared toward MPEG2-DVD. Strange that they would put an incorrect screen grab in such a tutorial, but then again, it IS UCLA.😆
