Trimming Question
on May 18, 2017 at 12:22:06 pm

Forgive such a basic question, but my edit schedule is crazed and I need a simple fix with no time to read manuals.

I just loaded in 2017. All is great. Problem is that when I try to trim my video channel 1, my audio channel is also selected.

Can you please point me to the place where I can change trim mode to single channel if I only want to trim 1 channel.

Thanks much.

Many thanks.

The icon is in the tool bar of the the sequence

"linked selection" (toggle)

make sure only your video track is tabbed and not the audio tab.

then when you trim...only the video will be selected by default...

And of course you can over-ride it even more simply by just holding down the alt/opt key as you trim any linked track.
